Two molds, one forming the front of the lens, and the other forming the back, are place into a specially designed gasket.
Liquid monomer is injected in the space between the two molds.
The mold assembly containing the monomer is cured in a light-curing chamber for approximately 7 minutes (9 minutes for photochromic).
The cured lens and mold components are separated creating a high quality finished lens, which is ready to be edged to fit into a frame.
