20% thinner, lighter and more impact resistant than standard CR-39 lenses.

OP-85 super impact resistant lenses exceeds ANST Z87.1 safety standards. Until now
only polycarbonate and Trivex were able to meet the Z87.1 standard. OP-85 lenses
surpass the standard at an average of 1.52 mm center thicknesses. This is significant
since Z87.1 standards are based on lenses with 2.0 mm minimum centers.
Additionally OP-85 lenses are the most abrasion resistant uncoated lenses available.
Uncoated OP-85 lenses have a Bayer rating of 2.23 which is better than the average
scratch coated lens available! And OP-85 lenses with an abbe value of 43.3 provide
superior optical performance compared to polycarbonate lenses with their 29.0 abbe
OptiCast, Inc. has developed a process in which photochromic dye is mixed directly
into the monomer in its liquid state. We call the photochromic lenses produced with
this monomer Shades™. Shades photochromic lenses are cast with the same precision
quality as our clear lenses, at significantly lower cost than other photochromic
